Hello!
I am a designer and book artist based in Washington, DC. Welcome to my portfolio! This site exists to tell the stories of design work I’ve been up to across three categories: user experience, books, and other projects.
User Experience Design
I currently lead the Platform UX team at EVERFI, where we are focused on bringing user-centered design to the tools that teachers and organizational leaders use to share digital education with students and employees. My mission has been setting up design systems and user research practices where none existed before!
Before that, I was on the Product Design & UX team at Gannett (parent company of the USA TODAY Network) for seven years. I focused on design systems and information architecture, and I fell in love with our challenges of scale. With 100+ newspapers across 46 states reaching 100M+ readers a month, plus change unfolding every day to our industry and to what users expected from us, there was always something new to learn and solve for.
Artist Books
If this term is new to you, as it was to me a few years ago: just as a painter paints, a book artist makes books. A book is a format that nearly everyone can understand and relate to, and to create a book is to design an experience that someone can hold in their hands and move through at their own pace.
Other Projects
Design is a huge part of my life outside of work. I design valentines, cards, and clothes – it’s how I express myself and my appreciation of other people and the world in general. This section of the site gives a glimpse into some of those miscellaneous design projects that I take on because I can’t not.
